Created in 2004 MonkeyBidz is a internet marketplace where individuals and businesses can meet to buy, sell, advertise, or trade goods in a safe and friendly environment within The United States of America and Canada.

MonkeyBidz was created after several hot summer days out in the hot sun selling at yard sales. Many of our neighbors would get together at one location to share a city yard sale permit. Obtaining a permit was sometimes not worth the while if you only had one or two items to sell. So one would just take the item over to the neighbors yard sale to see if it sells. After sitting there all day with hopes of someone buying your item, we thought of starting a website where people of our city would be able to post items and have someone call them if they where interested. That idea was out the window very fast. We thought, why not go country wide, or even better, world wide. We started out with a very simple auction script that did not work out too good at all. This cuased us to loose or discourage many users. After several more scripts with errors, we found that the last two have been the best, and decided to keep using them. We now provide a very safe and friendly auction platform, and have a good amount of happy users. At first, word to mouth was our only method of spreading the word about MonkeyBidz with our budget. Thanks to our users, and advertisers we are growing very fast.

We hope to one day be able to connect at least 8 of 10 individuals world wide to make some type of trade using our site.

We currently use SSL to encrypt private information and also use thir party site validation. We use a users rating system to remind users of there reputation. If a user attempts to be dishonest, the rating and comment will put this user in a bad standing to all viewers. Our team is always working in the backround looking for any type of threat to users or our site. We work very hard in trying to provide you with the best and most pleasant visit. At the same time, we ask that you as the buyer or seller be careful when making a transaction you do not feel good about.
